New aquamarine from Africa is entering Indian market

Aquamarine from Africa is competing with Indian material. Included stones with very nice color have been seen. Until now, India was the origin for this kind of material.
According to the demand from some big jewelry houses, a lot of this cabochon material is now cut in facet form. Octagon or rectangle shapes seems to be much in demand.
