As India is becoming a major player in the global economy, the attraction of its inhabitants for astrology is boosting the market for some stones like chrysoberyl cat's eye and mainly yellow sapphire.
Indian buyers are now competing to get the biggest, nicest certified no beryllium, stones available. As a result price is skyrocketing for the 10 carats up stones.
